The Sacral Chakra: What it Means to Love Your Yoni

Loving Your Yoni

Connect with your sacred temple to unleash sensuality, spirituality and sexual healing.

‘Yoni,’ is  a Sanskrit expression referring to the female sexual organs and a woman’s wondrous womb. This divine passage represents nature’s gateway for life and is known as the sacred temple of a woman’s body. Female energy has been embodied both physically and spiritually in our very own powerhouse. A sacred space where we, as women, can work with our sacral chakra, Svadhisthana, to practice deep healing and unleash our creativity.

If your feeling out of touch with your sensuality or a ripple in your creative flow has left you feeling unsure of your purpose and true alignment, there’s a possibility that your coochie chakra is imbalanced.

Rewilding, Reconnecting and Rebuilding.

‘Within every woman, there lives a Wild Woman’ – Women Who Run With the Wolves, Clarissa Pinkola Estes.

In a male-dominated world, it is natural for us to lose touch of our femininity and Shakti power that lies deep within us all. Our masculine energy expresses through direction, freedom and pure consciousness which are all traits we thrive to maintain in today’s society. Every living being holds both feminine and masculine energy, our yin and yang.

From time to time, we may disconnect from our feminine divine, which manifests in an array of physical and spiritual signals. How can we tell if we are disconnected? An imbalanced Svadhisthana, or sacral chakra, creates warning signs like:

  • A low libido
  • Lack of creativity
  • Irregular moon cycles
  • Fear of pleasure
  • Detachment
  • Hormonal imbalances

To live in sweet harmony with your mind, body and spirit, all of your seven chakras, energy centers of the body, should be in balance. To come back from a Sacral Chakra imbalance requires some deep healing. I like to practice the three R’s: Rewilding, Reconnecting and Rebuilding.

A term becoming more prominent in our road-to-enlightenment world, Rewilding is all about returning to your natural state. How we came into this world, fresh and fruitful.

When we are experiencing an imbalance, no matter which area of our beautiful bodies it may be, we should strip back to our raw and authentic selves. Dissolve any negative and self-sabotaging thoughts and focus on within. Remember, healing is an internal journey which we are eternally working on.

Mindfulness meditation does wonders for our psyches. Taking even a few minutes out of our busy and active days to quiet our minds can be hugely beneficial for our mental health.

To practice sweet Yoni love, you’ll want to focus all of your energy on the area just below your navel, approximately three inches down. Imagine an orange flower symbol circulating your womb and cleansing this sacred space. Orange is the color representation of the sacral chakra so keep this in your vision when meditating.

The clockwise circular motion is your powerful energy recharging the area, giving life to your womanhood. Repeat the mantra “VAM” whilst doing so – a cleansing affirmation specifically valuable to awakening the Sacral Chakra by encouraging sexuality, pleasure and creativity.

This is where Yoni eggs come to light. If you are unaware of what these magical crystal eggs can do for our bodies, our Yoni’s in particular, here’s a glimpse into how to work with them. A Yoni Egg is a small egg-shaped crystal, just like the healing stones you wear around your neck or as other elegant pieces on your body. They come in a small egg-shape or a longer cone-shape and in a variety of crystal species.

My favorite has to be Rose Quartz, but everyone is different and depending on what you wish to heal, your spirit will guide you to the perfect crystal for you. Rose Quartz reflects self-love and that’s exactly what I use these powerful stones for.

Before healing with your stone, you should first prepare by performing a cleansing ritual with sage and emitting your loving energy onto its sacred surface. This can be done by wearing the crystal on your body or meditating with it. After around one week of preparation, you and your crystal are ready to go!

Making sure that your Yoni egg is cleansed both physically and spiritually, you can simply insert the crystal inside your vagina gently and with care. Once it’s there it can take some getting used to, but don’t worry they cannot get stuck inside! Your cervix acts as a barrier wall for the egg so it can never go any further than this. Carry on with your day as usual or sleep with your healing crystal in overnight. It’s totally up to you how you wish to work your Yoni magic.

Once you have begun deep healing to awaken your Svadhisthana, get ready to embark on a journey of creativity and welcome an abundance of sensuality back into your blissful life.
